Effect of battery cages to the keel bone
A study by Collins Kibet from Egerton University investigated the impact of battery cage systems on keel bone health in poultry. The research highlights how conventional caging can affect bone integrity and emphasizes the need for improved housing systems to enhance animal welfare and structural health in laying hens.

World Rabies Day 2025 Report
Utunzi conducted a rabies vaccination campaign in Baringo for World Rabies Day 2025, in partnership with the Baringo County Government. The initiative focused on vaccinating dogs, raising community awareness and preventing rabies outbreaks, contributing to safer communities and improved public and animal health.

Utunzi, with funding from SPANA, implemented the Emergency Drought Resilience Program in Turkana to support working animals and their owners during drought conditions. The project focused on improving animal health, providing feed and water solutions and strengthening community resilience to sustain livelihoods dependent on working animals.
