Founded in 2020 in Kenya, Utunzi Africa is dedicated to educating, promoting and fostering animal welfare research, education, news, policies, advocacy and effective solutions across all farmed, companion and wild animals.

Corporate Engagement Workshop

Utunzi organized a corporate engagement workshop at Swiss-Belinn Nairobi that brought together corporates and key stakeholders to discuss cage-free egg production and responsible sourcing practices. The workshop focused on raising awareness, encouraging corporate commitment to cage-free policies, and fostering collaboration across the poultry and food industry to support more humane and sustainable egg supply chains.

Ahiti Nyahururu Student Seminar

Utunzi facilitated an educational session at AHITI Nyahururu Agricultural College to deeply discuss about cage-free poultry production systems. The engagement focused on building understanding of improved poultry management practices, responsible egg production, and the importance of animal welfare in modern farming. Students also explored how cage-free systems can contribute to sustainable and ethical poultry value chains.
